About Olde interiors
Our Story
From this very coaster is where Olde interiors began. A valentine gift to my Husband a slate coaster changed through the art of decoupage. This triggered huge inspiration to begin changing other items into more desirable different objects. So from a one off gift grew into making curious and distinctive décor pieces now selling items at local craft fairs, pop up shops and now online.
Our Products
At Olde interiors we offer a wide range of home decor products, including Homewares, Furniture and Refinishing services. Our products are designed to meet the highest standards of quality, with all our products which are locally reclaimed for e.g. our bestsellers the Slate Table Coasters which reclaimed from a 150 year old slate roof in Holmbury St. Mary, then cut by us, patterned then glazed. Where possible we refinish them with unwanted materials. But we are fully aware that this isn’t always possible so if we do buy new we always use sustainable and responsibly sourced material which is fit for its intended purpose and educate our buyers with this knowledge. We strive to always better and explore and experiment to find the better solution where ever possible to make our products as sustainable as we can.
Our Mission
We believe that there is far too much stuff made in this world and not enough is done with the old, the broken and the unwanted and seeing it discarded to landfill. This is something which we wish to impact upon. So at Olde interiors we Reclaim what we think people may like in their home, Refurbish them to become fit for purpose again, then Refinish them into something new to make an unwanted object desirable again. So it can be in someone’s home once more. “Let us waste less, so you can keep more.”
Our Family
Our Family at Olde interiors is made up of Wife and Husband our two children, 3 dogs and cat.
Marc is a traditionally trained Decorator for some 26 years and specialises in spraying and decorative detailing, carrying out all the offsite works. Spraying Kitchens, Joinery, Wallpapering and our Home decor projects.
Lily is the creative mind who is self taught in decoupage who makes all our Homewares, designs the Furniture, growing it all into a unique and unseen before piece of art. She also dedicates to caring for our two children of SEN which gives her no opportunity to have a regular job. Which fits our home life gaining some flexibility to do what we do. You’ll see Lily at the local craft fairs in the pop up shops and online selling the newest creations.
